About Settled
OUR STORY
Caroline and Angela met working at Simplee in 2014, building technologies to improve the patient billing experience. They both had a passion for helping individuals understand their health insurance and identifying mistakes in medical bills.
Then, after the birth of her son, Caroline found herself buried in bills. She knew many of them were incorrect and after dozens of calls to providers and insurance, she was able to save her family close to $20,000.
Angela had been working as a Medicare counselor for several years and earned her MPH at UC Berkeley, focusing on policies & programs that help people access health care.
It wasn't until 2018 that Caroline and Angela came together to create Settled, to provide personalized, meaningful services to help patients of all kinds.
